 Ms. Manju Kumar, a senior officer in the Department of Posts, Government of India today joined as new Chief Postmaster General, Jammu and Kashmir Circle here today.

An Indian Postal Service (IPoS) Officer of 1989 batch Ms. Manju Kumar was today welcomed by Sh. Gaurav Srivastava Director Postal Services (Headquarters) on her new assignment in the J&K Circle.

Prior to her posting as Chief Postmaster General, J&K Circle Ms. Manju Kumar was working as Deputy Director General (Personnel), Dak Bhawan, New Delhi.

Soon after taking over as Chief PMG J&K Circle, Ms Kumar reviewed the functioning of Postal Department in Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh. She further expressed confidence the India Post will continue to work as an arm of Central Government in implementing various government schemes across Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh besides providing the traditional postal services.
